In September 2004, renowned Punjabi poet Surjit Patter was on this three days visit to Surrey. He was invited to visit dance studio of Surrey India Arts Club. He appreciated the work Surrey India Arts Club is doing and promised that next time he is in Surrey, he will like to work more closely with Surrey India Arts Club in promotion of Punjabi language. All members of Surrey India Arts Club promised their full support this wonderful poet of Punjab."
